The Intensive

The Expressions Summer Intensive is a premier program by the Innovative Arts Conservatory Foundation, funded by the Innovative Arts Fund, offering an exceptional platform for students aged 9 to 19 to explore and refine their talents in art, dance, media, theater, and music. This six-week immersive experience fosters artistic growth, collaboration, and confidence, culminating in a showcase that highlights student achievements.

Program Information
- Dates: June 8–12, 2026 Format: Full-day, one-week intensive
- Tuition: $150 (scholarships available)
- Includes: Lunch + snack
- Outcome: Skill development + eligibility for October production auditions

Program Design

Expressions is expanding in 2026 with a more focused, intentional model.

This year, all students will select a primary strand and concentrate their training exclusively in that discipline for the duration of the program.

This single-strand focus allows students to go deeper, build stronger skills, and experience a more professional, conservatory-style training environment.

Music (Vocal & Instrumental – advanced students only)

Returning Guest Instructor

Clyde R. Jones is a Tri Star actor, writer, and director from Louisiana, best known for his unforgettable role as the “Soul Glo Man” in Coming to America (1988). His film work includes powerful performances in Emancipation (2022) alongside Will Smith and Get on Up (2014) as Daddy Grace.

On television, Jones has made memorable appearances in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Quantum Leap, Queen Sugar, The Fantasia Barrino and NCIS: New Orleans. Beyond acting, he has directed indie films. With decades of experience, Jones remains a creative force in film and television.
